True Entrusting: Shinran, the Buddha and Bhante 2024

Wednesday, November 13, 2024 to Friday, November 22, 2024

At a certain point in our Dharma lives ‘it becomes no less difficult to speak of the spiritual life in terms of self-effort than to speak in terms of reliance on divine grace, sometimes more difficult in fact.’  (Sangharakshita)

Enter into an exploration of faith as total path, and the roles of self- and Other power in our practice-lives.

Open to Dharmacharinis and GfR Mitras who have completed ‘The Bodhisattva Ideal’, ‘The Transcendental Principle’ and ‘The Mythic Context’ retreats at Tiratanaloka.  The retreat is not core 'ordination training' and would be undertaken out of personal interest in this topic. Groups will be Order or Mitra-only.

IF YOU HAVE A RESTRICTED DIET OTHER THAN GLUTEN FREE, PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE BEFORE BOOKING.

There are no single rooms left for this retreat, if you'd like to be on the waiting list please email admin@taraloka.org.uk

Suggested donation (in addition to the booking fee): £410 waged / £290 unwaged

Paying for your retreat

Taraloka runs on generosity.

To book a retreat you pay a booking fee.  This is the only charge made for coming on retreat. As far as possible, we don't want anyone's financial situation to stop them from coming to Taraloka.

At the end of your retreat, you have the opportunity to give money towards Taraloka.  If you are able to donate, you are giving to another person who otherwise could not afford to come on retreat.  And you are helping to give the gift of Taraloka to the women of the future.

Suggested donations

Our suggested donations (in addition to the booking fee) for 2024-25 are (waged/unwaged)

  • Weekend retreats (2024: £195 / 135  2025: £200 / £140)

Running on generosity is radical – thank you for being part of that.
